JAZZ HARP

JAZZ & SWING ACTS | SOLOISTS

The JAZZ HARP Experience offers a range of different groups: a harp and sax duo, or a quartet, adding bass and drums to the line up, for a more featured part of the entertainment. The group is flexible and although the duo or quartet combinations are encouraged, they are open to other requests and have a fantastic vocalist that they also work closely with.

They have collectively performed alongside artists including: Eric Clapton, Neil Cowley & Nigel Kennedy. All the musicians involved have a wide range of experience of playing for all manner of events, from rock, pop and jazz gigs, to classical concerts, and in a wide variety of settings: Blenheim Palace, Highclere Castle, Tower of London, Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, Koko and Montreaux Jazz Festival,  which contributes greatly to the flexibility of the project.

The JAZZ HARP Experience is a project put together by Tori (harp) and Erica (saxophone), born out of a mutual love for jazz. From the outset they have been keen to create a lively and upbeat atmosphere with new sounds and arrangements that you might not expect to hear from a conventional harp and sax ensemble. Although primarily a jazz project, they have an eclectic repertoire and are able to encompass a diverse range of genres including pop, soul and rock appropriate to the mood.

DUO:

The duo is suitable for both drinks receptions and during a meal with their contrasting and versatile repertoire.  It can also be suitable for the evening entertainment as an alternative to the usual pop band/rock band/disco, for events looking for something a little different and less boisterous,  but upbeat, live and funky.

QUARTET:

For more upbeat events, a quartet is also available as a more featured part of the entertainment, adding bass and drums to the harp and sax line up. The group would be ideal for drinks, during dinner, and after dinner in order to get the party started.

TESTIMONIALS

  • Thank you so much for being such an integral part of our day. You created a wonderful atmosphere and judged the mood perfectly.
    - Alex and Katie Stewart - Wedding 2012
  • "We loved the combination of the harp and saxophone and the unusual repertoire. I usually expect the harp just to sound classical, but it was so different, was fascinating to watch and worked so well!"
