MIA AND THE MOON

JAZZ & SWING ACTS | ENSEMBLES

Described as "Mesmerizing" by XFactor, "Gloriously Versatile" by Showteam International and "Sister Harmony at it's Best" by Vintage TV, Award Winning Sister Group 'Mia and the Moon' started out on very different paths. Their father performed with Dolly Parton and after attending Bluegrass Festivals together as toddlers, Laura would go on to perform her own Smokey Jazz Show onboard Luxury Cruise Ships and Hotels around the world before being invited as a guest performer at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz Festival, whilst younger sister Mary-Anne was busy collaborating with dance producers in Holland. Her own rock song 'Scenario' reached the top ten dance chart on Radio 1 leading to a Theatre tour of South Africa as lead guitarist and backing vocalist, with Michael Jackson Tribute show 'History'.

Bringing these musical styles together in a unique way, the sisters performed for the first time as 'Mia and the Moon' on ITV's XFactor in 2012. Their acoustic version of Mary Mary's 'Shackles' won over millions of viewers instantly, and with 4 yeses from the judges, the girls went onto become Favourites at boot camp, but walked out of the show when producers asked for staged fights.

Since the scandalous exit, Mia and the Moon have built a committed following that includes Myleene Klass, BBC Radio's, Mark Forrest, and even praise from Rock Band 'RUSH'. Their versions of classic hits, and original albums have earned Mia and the Moon a place as one of the most sought after sibling trios in the UK, flying out to perform all over the World and reaching out to people of all ages with timeless musical style.
